Our Roots & Legacy

Founded in the early 1950s by Maxine “Mac” and her husband Jake, J‑MAC Flowers began as a heartfelt endeavor in Anthony, KS. Mac’s love for floral artistry and community quickly transformed the shop into a trusted local treasure.

The name “J-MAC” became synonymous with care and craftsmanship throughout Harper County, serving as the go-to florist for weddings, birthdays, funerals, and every meaningful moment in between. Over the decades, the business lived on through multiple owners—each one honoring the foundation laid while infusing the shop with their own passion and vision.

Today’s Chapter

In Fall of 2025, Lindsay Zimmerman and her family of Harper, KS, embrace the proud tradition of J-MAC as its newest owners. For Lindsay, J-MAC is the perfect place to bring together nearly 20 years of business experience with the things she loves most—gardening, curating meaningful gifts, and building connections that make this community feel like home. Her vision is to keep the shop you know and love thriving while weaving in fresh ideas, events, and experiences that celebrate Harper County and the people who make it special.
